Ferndale, Washington – Samson, the leading developer of high-performance synthetic rope solutions and services, is pleased to announce their newest app inspection feature - INSIGHT™. Maximizing artificial intelligence, INSIGHT simplifies rope abrasion inspections for the mooring and workboat industry. The Samson App, powered by INSIGHT’s A.I. machine learning model, provides instant abrasion scores, helping users quickly and accurately assess the condition of their ropes and make informed decisions about replacement.
“Traditional rope inspection methods are often subjective and time-consuming,” said Chad Hislop, V.P. of Engineering at Samson Rope. “INSIGHT takes the guesswork out of inspections, providing users with a reliable and objective assessment of their rope condition in seconds.”
Using a mobile device camera to capture images of the rope, INSIGHT analyzes the photos, assigns the rope an abrasion score based on the severity of wear, and recommends further action – such as continued use or replacement.
