Reduced risk of injury due to snap-back
 
Injury due to snap-back, or recoil, is greatly reduced compared to twisted wire ropes. Upon failure, the torque-free 12-strand braided construction of AmSteel®-Blue allows the rope ends to follow a more predictable path. It travels close to the rope’s original axis. By comparison, on failure, the severed, fish-hooked ends of twisted wire rope follow a dangerous, unpredictable, helix-like path sweeping away from the rope’s axis.
