The Types of Information Samson Collects
Your name, professional title, email address, mailing address, and telephone number (“Personal Information”) is only collected by Samson when you voluntarily supply it, either online, over the telephone, or through the mail. 
If you contact us by email, Samson may retain your email address.
In addition, Samson’s customers may obtain usernames and passwords from Samson that may be used online to track orders (“Account Holders”).  It is your sole responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. 
In some cases, Samson collects non-personal information, such as:
(a) The URL, or address, of the site you just came from;
(b) The type of Internet browser you are using;
(c) Your Internet Protocol, or IP, address. An IP address is the string of numbers that identifies each sender or receiver of information that is sent across the Internet; and
(d) Cookies, namely, small pieces of information that a web site sends to your computer’s hard drive while you are viewing a web site.  This information permits Samson to recognize you when you return to its web site. 
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can disable this function by changing the cookie profile on your computer’s web browser. If you disable or delete your cookies, however, you may not have access to certain features of Samson’s site.
How Samson Uses the Information it Collects
If you provide Personal Information to Samson or if you are an Account Holder, Samson may email you concerning its products and services or with information regarding Samson’s authorized distributors.  If you prefer not to receive these emails, you may opt out at any time by contacting Samson at
Samson may share your Personal Information with its authorized distributors, and these authorized distributors may contact you concerning Samson products or other similar offerings.  If you prefer not to receive information from Samson’s authorized distributors, please contact Samson at
Samson’s authorized distributors may have their own privacy policies.  Samson strongly encourages you to review the privacy policy for any distributor that contacts you.
Samson will also disclose your information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court appointed receiver, or other comparable legal process, including subpoenas from private parties in a civil action.
As for cookies, as previously noted, this information permits Samson to recognize you should you return to the web site.  Samson does not share this information with any third parties.
Except as otherwise indicated in this Privacy Policy, Samson does not sell or rent any Personal Information collected from its web site to any third party.

Samson’s web site includes links to other web sites that Samson does not operate or control.   Samson is not responsible for the content or business practices of other sites and recommends that you review the terms of use and privacy policies for these sites, as they will govern your activities on those web sites.
Additional Considerations for California Residents
The California Civil Code requires a business with whom a California resident has an established business relationship to disclose to such residents upon their request: (1) the types of personal information the business shares with third parties for the third party’s marketing purposes, and (2) the identities of the third parties with whom the business has shared this information during the immediately preceding calendar year.
