WHAT IS K-100?

K-100 is 80% lighter than the steel wire it replaces. Made from a combination of high-performance fibers, Samson developed a rope with strength equal to wire at similar diameters, yet it has the same load pull and load chart with a 5:1 safety factor. K-100 features high strength-to-weight ratio, bend fatigue durability, and robust spooling capabilities.

K-100 offers many benefits over wire rope:

  • It’s easier to handle for reeving and installation, saving you time and injuries.
  • Fewer change-outs caused by kinking, bird caging or diving.
  • Braided, torque-neutral construction significantly reduces load spin, which improves safety.
  • It’s durable and doesn’t suffer bend fatigue like wire rope improving its overall longevity.
