Announcing AmSteel® II Plus: Same Size, 25% More Strength

Ferndale, WA – October 26, 2006 – Samson, the worldwide leader in performance cordage, (www.samsonrope.com) announces Amsteel II Plus, a new winchline product with the same reliability as its counterpart Amsteel II, but with 25% more strength.

Like AmSteel® II, AmSteel® II Plus is a double braided rope that derives its strength from a braided Dyneema® fiber core. Advanced Dyneema® SK-75 fiber technology provides an increase in strength and increased lifting capacity. Customers now have two options: (1) keep the same diameter and length on a winch with 25% more strength or (2) decrease the diameter of the rope they normally use and add length for the same strength. Amsteel® II Plus was created in response to customer requests for greater lifting capacity without an increase in diameter. It is an excellent alternative to wire rope.

Randy Nulle, Sales Director said, “In response to the need for increased lifting capacity without added diameter, we’ve created Amsteel® II Plus. We think our customers will appreciate having the best of both worlds: same length and diameter with added strength or the same strength with more length on the winch.”
